Sorry for all this question but I'm a "great noob" in copier/printer and english is not my mother tongue. Is the bottrom that I need ?ĭo I have to buy extra 256mb ram for printing to work ? I found someone on ebay who sells a "N" bootrom wich, as the seller says, can activate network print and scan. I open the back of the printer, it got 1x256mo ram, 20GB HD and a bootrom with 'ir 2270 C' wrtitten on it. When I print something, the printer begins to work but stops 1 second later and gives me error code #853.Īfter some research, I saw that on your powerfull forum that the error is due to the fact that the printer doesn't got multi-pdl kit. I just bought a Canon iR2270, it works perfectly for copy and fax, but it impossible to me to get a print from network (or even USB). What does the P PRINT LIST YOUR PRINTER FIRMWARE VERSIONS AS :confused:Īfter installing the bootrom you may still have to flash the machine with system software, until then the jobs may leave queue but never print Go to, Service Mode>Copier>Version>Boot-Rom, check to see if "N" is displayed next to the version. Make sure the bootrom is indeed an "N" type BootRom. The reason is because, these machines now require LMS activation for the various connectivity options that are available for it. These machines have only one boot rom part number and no longer have an "N" type. Think that FM2-2802 BootRom is from /for the imageRUNNER 3025/3030/3035/3045 series> Here are some pics of the copier, maybe they will be more understandable than me :D : In fact, they worked well but I always got error 853 when I tried to print from network or USB.

I have attempted to install and configure the ScanGear Tool as documented by this website: I was told by the Canon Vendor that I can use and install a TWAIN driver to achieve method one, and I can install the Canon ScanGear Tool to achieve method two. Ideally, I want Method 2 to work via USB as it is the most efficient and least cumbersome method.

Method 2) Scan directly from the Scanner itself using the built in GUI and automatically send a PDF file directly to a Computer's Desktop or desired folder.

Method 1) Use software like Foxit Reader to scan from the scanner to PDF and manually save file I am aware that you can scan via 2 methods normally via common All In One printers I want to scan from the Canon Printer, directly to the laptop via the USB connection. While I got the printer to print from the laptop, scanning is an issue. Here is where I am running into problems: We want to install this printer via a USB cable on the laptop.
